Number of students eliminated from higher education institutions during last year disclosed

The number of students who were eliminated for non-payment of tuition fee, missing classes or by their own request during 2019 was 5426, APA reports citing the State Examination Center.

2941 of them were students receiving education at baccalaureate level, 537 – at magistracy level, 921 – on the full secondary specialty basis, while 1027 – on the general secondary specialty basis. Meanwhile, the number of students expelled in connection with suspension of functioning of education institution was 248. 84 of them were students receiving education at baccalaureate level, 22 - on the full secondary specialty basis, while 142 - on the general secondary specialty basis.
