Ombudsperson carries out fact-finding mission in Ganja

On October 17, at around 01:00 Armenia committing a war crime again, shelled of the second largest city of Azerbaijan, located far away from the frontline, densely populated city with rocket fire. This attack carried out using banned weapons caused a large number of casualties and serious damages, Office of the Ombudsman told APA.

Armenia by grossly violating the requirements of humanitarian ceasefire declared from 12:00 on October 10, 2020, shows clear disrespect to the UN charter, general norms, and principles of international law, as well as norms of international humanitarian and human rights.

Ombudsperson Sabina Aliyeva is carrying out fact-finding mission in Ganja in order to assess facts and damages which confirms gross violation of human rights due to casualties happened as a result of the next terror act committed in Ganja by Armenian armed forces, and to bring to the attention of the international community.
