Organ Donation and Transplantation Coordination Center to be established in Azerbaijan

Organ Donation and Transplantation Coordination Center with the status of public legal entity will be established in Azerbaijan, says the Presidential Decree dated December 8, 2020 "On the application of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 189-VIQ of October 20, 2020" On donation and transplantation of human organs and tissues", APA reports.

According to the decree, in accordance with the Law on Donation and Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues under the Ministry of Health, the Cabinet of Ministers must establish a Coordinating Center for Organ Donation and Transplantation with the status of a public legal entity within 6 months and should inform the President.
