Payment of salary supplements to medical workers taking part in fight against coronavirus kicks off

According to the Order # 1947 of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic dated March 18, 2020 and the Decision # 112 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Azerbaijan Republic dated March 25, 2020, the payment of the temporary salary supplements for March to the medical workers taking part in the measures of fighting against the novel coronavirus infection by the State Medical Insurance Agency (Agency) has kicked off, the Agency told APA.

The temporary salary supplements proportionate to work hours have been paid to medical workers of 122 public medical institutions of Baku City and 5 public medical institutions of other cities and regions the country.

The temporary salary supplements for March have been paid to a total of 7,698 medical workers. Some 2,489 of them are doctors, 4,478 – medium and junior medical workers, and 731 – drivers of emergency and first medical aid vehicles.
