“The use of very thin polyethylene bags up to 15 microns has been prohibited,” Rasim Sattarzadeh, Head of the Environmental Policy Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resource said at “Expert hour”, APA reports.

He noted that a relevant document is being prepared to provide polyethylene bags to buyers with price. This document was submitted in coordination with the relevant authorities: “I think that in the near future, along with the ban on polyethylene bags up to 15 microns, the issue that price for packages made of polyethylene bags over 15 microns will be resolved. We will be able to reduce the impact of polyethylene waste on the environment.”
