Presidential aide: “Azerbaijan studies WHO recommendations regarding coronavirus threat, takes necessary measures”

“Coronavirus issue is an issue being on the international agenda. Azerbaijan thouroghly reviews and studies the recommendations of the World Health Organization in this regard, and takes necessary measures”, said Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration while commenting on the likelihood of closing of borders with Iran by Azerbaijan due to the coronavirus threat, APA reports.

H. Hajiyev said the initial phase of discussions in regard to coronavirus has been held in the Cabinet of Ministers, and the Plan of Activities has been drawn up: “Our country also takes necessary measures in this area. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also come up with appeals regarding restriction of travels of the Azerbaijani citizens”.
