Prime Minister Ali Asadov sent inquiry letter to Constitution Court

The Prime Minister Ali Asadov has sent an inquiry letter to the Constitution Court, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers told APA.

The appeal sent to the Cabinet of Ministers by the Deposits’ Insurance Fund in regard to making a comment by the Constitution Court of the Azerbaijan Republic about whether the relevant deposits kept in Atabank OJSC, NBCBank OJSC and AGBank OJSC should be considered as the protected deposits in connection with occurrence of the insured event in those banks has been studied, and it has been decided to send an inquiry letter to the Constitution Court.

The necessity of making an interpretation of clause 2.1.2.6 of the Law of the Azerbaijan Republic “About insurance of deposits” has been substantiated in the inquiry letter addressed to the Constitution Court by the Cabinet of Ministers in order to protect interests of depositors in those banks.
