Public transport not to function from today until July 13 in 16 cities and regions of Azerbaijan

The restriction has been applied on the functioning of public transport in connection with the extension of the special quarantine regime, APA reports.

According to the decision of the Task Force of the Cabinet of Ministers, the functioning of the whole public transport is restricted on weekends on the territory of Baku, Sumgait, Ganja, Lankaran, Yevlakh, Masalli, Jalilabad, Mingechevir cities and Absheron, Barda, Samukh, Siyazan, Sheki, Khachmaz, Goranboy and Goygol regions where the special quarantine regime has been toughened.

In connection with this decision, the public transport will not function on the mentioned territories from 00:00 a.m. today until 06:00 a.m. on July 13.

The first such restriction was applied on the last weekend from 00:00 a.m. on July 4 until 06:00 a.m. on July 6. Meanwhile, the next restriction will be applied on the next weekend - from 00:00 a.m. on July 18 until 06:00 a.m. on July 20.

Note that the special quarantine regime in Baku, Sumgait, Ganja, Lankaran, Yevlakh, Masalli, Jalilabad, Mingechevir cities and Absheron, Barda, Samukh, Siyazan, Sheki, Khachmaz, Goranboy and Goygol regions was extended from 06:00 a.m. on July 5 until Qeyd edək ki, Operativ Qərargahın qərarı ilə Bakı, Sumqayıt, Gəncə, Lənkəran, Yevlax, 06:00 a.m. on July 20 by decision of the Task Force.

In connection with this decision, the functioning of the Baku metro has also been suspended from 00:00 a.m. on July 4, 2020 until 06:00 a.m. on July 20, 2020.
