“In the initial phase, 20 percent of the population in Azerbaijan will be vaccinated”, said today chairman of the Management Board of the Administration of Regional Medical Divisions (TABIB) Ramin Bayramli at the meeting dedicated to issues of vaccination against SARS-COV-2 of the Public Supervision Board of the Fund for Support to Fight against Coronavirus, APA reports.
R. Bayramli said risk groups have been determined regarding those people who should be vaccinated. He noted that a strategy will be developed and disclosed to the wide public this weekend.
According to R. Bayramli, the risk group includes health workers, law enforcement agencies being in close contact with the population, at the same time the part of the population who have an underlying disease, including dialysis patients, diabetes patients, people suffering from cardiovascular and blood diseases, kidney failure and another disease.
R. Bayramli also brought to the notice that the vaccination process will bear a voluntary character: “There will not be any problem in acting as a donor of the vaccinated people”.
