Reconstruction of historical roads leading to Sugovushan and Talysh villages begins

Under the instruction of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, the reconstruction of automobile roads leading to Sugovushan and Talish villages of Tartar region liberated from the occupation of Armenian armed forces as a result of successful counter-attacks carried out by Azerbaijani Army, has been started by the State Agency of Automobile Roads, the Agency told APA.

According to the information given to APA by the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads, the automobile roads with total length of 29 km are restored in accordance with IV technical degree. The width of the movement part of the roads will make up 6 meters, while the width of road shoulders will be 2 meters in each direction and the width of roadbed will be 10 meters.

As the automobile roads leading to Sugovushan and Talish villages of Terter region have been trampled under the enemy’s boots for a long period it has completely gone to rack and ruin and has been destructed. Currently, the useless soil is dug out and removed along the whole road, the refilling works are conducted by useful soil, the earthen roadbed is restored and the new road foundation is constructed.

The construction works are conducted on the basis of requirements of the Construction Norms and Rules and with high quality, under the direct supervision of the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads. For this purpose, the required number of workforce and equipment have been brought to the territory.

The road construction is implemented along the banks of the channel extending from the Sugovushan water reservoir towards Terter City that has joined its waters after many years.
