Restriction on mourning ceremonies and wedding parties kept in force

Although the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers taking into consideration the sanitary and epidemiological situation in Azerbaijan regarding novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection, the total number of people infected with this virus among the country’s population and the patients’ recovery dynamics, has made the decision to ease another part of the restrictions applied in the framework of the special quarantine regime, the restriction regarding the mourning ceremonies and the wedding parties has remained valid, APA reports.

The decision reads that except for funeral ceremonies, the restriction regarding the prohibition of organization and implementation of the religious ritual services, as well as mourning services in ceremony halls, tents, and other closed spaces has remained valid. At the same time, the decision regarding the prohibition of organization of the wedding parties; suspension of the implementation of all massive events including cultural and sports events; rendering of services for the organization of events, including relevant organization of birthday, wedding, engagement parties and other similar ceremonies at client’s home or other venues have also remained valid.
