In connection with COVID-19 pandemic, based on the mutual agreement, the special charter flights and the special border crossing points on land borders of the countries are used for the purpose of admission of citizens due to temporary suspension of regular passenger air flights and railway passenger transportation between the Azerbaijan Republic and Georgia and the Russian Federation, the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Azerbaijan Republic told APA.

Based on the appeals of the citizens wishing to return to Azerbaijan, 176 more our compatriots returned to their Motherland from Georgia based on the preliminarily determined list by crossing the border into our country at Shikhli border control station.

Along with this the returning of our 252 citizens who want to come to our country has been ensured by Samur border control point in the Azerbaijan Russian border.

Azerbaijanis crossing the border are placed in quarantine zones in accordance with the requirements of the special quarantine regime applied in Azerbaijan.

Remind that consistent measures are being taken in the period of the pandemic, in connection with the returning of our citizens who are abroad and want to come to Azerbaijan.
