Satellite broadcasting license of Real TV channel terminated by its own request, but open broadcasting continues

The meeting of the National Television and Radio Council (NTRC) has been held, the NTRC told APA.

The appeal of the “Real Analysis and Information Center” LLC about termination of satellite broadcasting license has been considered at the meeting.

Taking into consideration that currently the “Real Analysis and Information Center” LLC has the license with the registration number of 197 dated April 23, 2019 and issued by the National Television and Radio Council for countrywide television broadcasting, and this license gives the right to be broadcasted via all on-ground, cable, satellite and IPTV operators, the Council made a decision to terminate the license with registration number of 186 issued by it on March 5, 2018 to the “Real Analysis and Information Center” LLC for satellite broadcasting only.

Due to open demonstration of use of tobacco products, the decision has been made to suspend broadcasting of TV shows on Khazar TV channel for the period of 1 hour on May 18, 2020 (from 08:00 a.m. to 09:00 a.m.).

Also due to open demonstration of use of tobacco products, the decision has been made to suspend broadcasting of TV shows on ARB TV channel for the period of 1 hour on May 18, 2020 (from 04:00 p.m. to 05:00 p.m.).
