Three more famous people who participated in the wedding of the granddaughter of the President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) Ramiz Mehdiyev were fined, APA reports.
Deputy Executive Secretary of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) Siyavush Novruzov, Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva, and the spouse of the director of the Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic Society Murad Adigozalzade were fined 400 manats for violating the requirements of the special quarantine regime, APA reports.
The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed this information to APA.
It should be noted that the holding of the daughter's wedding on August 18 by the former deputy of the Milli Mejlis, son-in-law of the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, Ramiz Mehdiyev, Ilham Aliyev, despite the decision of the government and the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers, aroused indignation in the society. Citizens called on social networks and the press to condemn these actions and punish violators of the quarantine regime.
On August 22, I. Aliyev and his matchmaker Rovshan Mustafayev were brought to trial. The court found them guilty under Article 211.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (Violation of the anti-epidemic regime, sanitary-hygienic, and quarantine regimes). By a court decision, they were assigned an administrative arrest for 15 days.
Today, former rector of Baku State University Abel Maharramov, former minister of communications and high technologies, an adviser to the president of ANAS Ali Abbasov, director of the Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic Society Murad Adigozalzadeh were fined 400 manats for violating the special quarantine regime.
