Some roads to be closed due to 28th anniversary of Khojaly genocide

The commemoration ceremony will be held in front of the “Mother’s cry” monument situated in Khojaly Avenue of Khatai district on February 26 due to the 28th anniversary of Khojaly genocide being one of the most bloody crimes in the history of mankind, the head of the State Road Police Office of Baku City Main Police Department, police colonel Vagif Asadov told APA.

In order to ensure security at the event that is being planned to be held on occasion of the 28th anniversary of Khojaly genocide, beginning from the crossing with Yusif Safarov Street, extending along Khojaly Avenue and till the crossing with Najafgulu Rafiyev Street, the movement of vehicles will be completely restricted, and its direction will be changed.

Thus, the direction of the movement has been determined as straightforward from the crossing of Neftchiler Avenue with Yusif Safarov Street to Nobel Avenue, and only straightforward from Heydar Aliyev Avenue towards the crossing of Babek Avenue and Najafgulu Rafiyev Street.

Movement of automobiles will be restricted and their directions will be changed in Avenue Khojaly and Mehdi Mehdizade, Kamandar Ahmadov, Ayaz Ismayilov, Suleyman Vazirov and Izzat Orujov Streets, which are crossed or parallel in this direction, due to commemoration ceremony.

Automobile owners and drivers are recommended not to use their own cars on mentioned directions by taking into consideration that the commemoration ceremony is of national importance. People, who are willing to attend ceremony, are asked to use public transportation.
