"According to the international practices, the special state medical institutions have been designated for laboratory diagnostics of coronavirus infections. The laboratories under specially designated medical institutions have been established in full accordance with all bio-security standards and other quality standards determined by the World Health Organization (WHO), the analysis are being conducted by the highly qualified specialists, and the correctness of the test results is controlled by special software", the Operative Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers told APA.
To conduct laboratory tests in other state and non-state medical institutions to detect coronavirus is strictly prohibited! Relevant measures in accordance with legislation will be taken against all medical institutions that violated this requirement: "Recently, Azerbaijani citizens have some questions on laboratory diagnosis of coronavirus infections. Operative Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers stated that it is essential to take analysis samples from the people, who came from the region where the disease spread widely at the moment or who have been in contact with those came from the region, as well as that person tested positive for coronavirus for early detection of the coronavirus infections. Currently, medical examination of those people is conducted at the state’s expense in laboratories of special allocated state medical institutions, in accordance with WHO’s protocol.
In case of those persons feel the symptoms of respiratory disease (fever, weakness, cough, nausea, shortness of breath) they can immediately call Ambulance emergency numbers 103 and 113 and can be examined by a doctor."
