State Tourism Agency: In March-April impact of global crisis to be felt in tourism

“In January-February the number of people coming to Azerbaijan increased. In late February nearly 17% increase is observed in the number of tourists coming to Azerbaijan in comparison to the previous year. The crisis has not shown itself in the figures because of this period is the beginning period of coronavirus,” press secretary of Azerbaijan's State Tourism Agency Kenan Guluzade said at a press conference, APA reports.

According to him, during this period, the number of people coming from neighboring countries- Russia, Iran, Georgia increased. However, the impact of the global crisis will be felt in tourism in March-April.
