The privilege regarding tuition fee of the children who lost their parents and were deprived of parental guardianship will be preserved even when they are adopted, APA reports.

This has found its reflection in the change proposed to be made in the laws “About education” and “About social protection of the children who lost their parents and were deprived of parental guardianship” brought up for discussion at the meeting of Labor and social policy committee of the Azerbaijani Parliament held today and recommended for discussion at plenary meeting of the parliament.

According to the effective legislation, the tuition fee of the children who lost their parents and were deprived of parental guardianship, as well as the persons from this group of population will be paid at the expense of the funds of the state budget during the period when they receive education on the paid basis at state education institutions of all types, at the magistracy level of the scientific organization determined by relevant executive power agency, as well as municipal and private higher, special secondary and vocational education institutions. Based on the draft change to the laws, even when the children who lost their parents and were deprived of parental guardianship are adopted, they will retain this right.
