“Over 5,000 beds have been allocated in special-regime hospitals for treatment of COVID-19 patients. At the same time, the module-type hospitals having 2,000 beds will be opened in the short time”, said Ramin Bayramli, chairman of the Management Board of the Administration of Regional Medical Divisions (TABIB) at the press conference organized by the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers today, APA reports.

He said the admission of patients into the recently opened first module-type hospital will be started from the next week: “And in the next phase, the opening of other hospitals in Sumgait and Baku cities and module-type hospitals in Saray settlement will be implemented. Most likely, the opening of the module-type hospital in Ganja City will be realized. In total, we will have the bed fund of over 7,000 pieces. We think if we consider the utilization rate of the bed fund, we have additional capacities. Simply the distribution of medical specialists among health institutions in connection with other medical services and in terms of logistics is an extra work load for us. If the daily infection rate increases, this can cause a difficulty. Just from this viewpoint we call on citizens to be responsible so that the work load falling on our institutions wouldn’t increase”.
