TABIB: 33 citizens evacuated from Russia to Azerbaijan test positive for coronavirus

The measures are being continued in the area of bringing back to Azerbaijan of our citizens stranded in foreign countries including the countries neighboring with Azerbaijan due to novel coronavirus pandemic. A great number of our citizens arrive in the territory of the Dagestan Republic of the Russian Federation in order to return to Azerbaijan through land border. The passage of our citizens to the Azerbaijani territory through Samur border crossing point is implemented on the weekly basis, according to the procedure reconciled with official agencies of the Russian Federation and in compliance with a special plan, the Administration of Regional Medical Divisions (TABIB) told APA.

The samples for coronavirus test are taken by TABIB from all our citizens crossing the border and then our citizens are accommodated in the quarantine stations: "It should be regretfully mentioned that in the last week of August, as a result of the testing of the samples taken from our citizens evacuated from Russia to Azerbaijan via land border, COVID-19 infection was detected in 33 people.
