The special quarantine regime in Azerbaijan will be extended until May 4

The special quarantine regime in Azerbaijan will be extended from April 20, 2020 to May 4, 2020, the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers told APA.

All measures mentioned in the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated April 2, 2020, including restrictions on entry to the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan by land and air transport, local flights, as well as suspension of the functioning of all educational institutions will be extended until 00:00 on May 4, 2020. However, a phased exit plan from the extended quarantine regime will be prepared and announced next week. At the same time, analyzing the sanitary-epidemiological situation in the country, easing restrictions in some areas during the extended quarantine regime is possibe. If necessary, re-tighten the quarantine regime is also possible by analyzing the dynamics of COVID-19 infection and the general situation with the disease in the country.

The Task Force noted that all the measures are taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19 are carried out in order to ensure the safety of citizens and protect the health of every inhabitant of Azerbaijan.
