3 research programs have been approved at the Institute of Geology and Geophysics (GGI) in order to inspect the current state of underground and surface resources of the liberated territory of Karabakh, evaluate its natural resources, and to use modern technologies, APA reports citing the annually report of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics.

Note that these are the programs of “Scientific assessment of the prospects of geological complexes of the north-eastern slope of the Lesser Caucasus and the Talish region for various strategic raw materials (rare and rare earth elements, titanium-magnetite sandstones, radioactive and precious metals) in order to use in the defense industry”, “identification and research the radioactive contamination zones by use modern technology in the liberated territories of the Nagorno-Karabakh”, “geophysical detection of underground military communications in the territory of Karabakh and assessment of geological threats” scientific researches.
