Vaccination of children against coronavirus in Azerbaijan not envisaged

“Currently, we do not think to vaccinate children against coronavirus in Azerbaijan,” Yagut Garayeva, head of the Disease Prevention and Control Department of TABİB told APA.

She noted that the instruction of purchased vaccines noted to use people over 18 years old: “We do not see any need to vaccinate children yet. This should be investigated. If the WHO, international organizations recommend it in the future, we will think about it.”

According to her, various vaccines to be brought to the country is not specifically intended for applying any age group: “The purpose of the vaccination is to reduce the severe course of the disease and fatalities.”
