"There are inactivated, RNA-based and live virus vaccines against COVID-19," said today Ramin Bayramli, chairman of Board of Administration of Regional Medical Divisions (TABIB) at the press conference of the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers, APA reports.

According to him, the purchase of vaccines in Azerbaijan will be carried out on two platforms: "Our country has already joined the discussions of GAVI. At the same time, bilateral talks are underway. We are working with Turkey on bilateral talks. Because Phase 3 research in Turkey is more accessible to us. Ensuring safety and efficiency is one of the key points. Once the results of the third phase are announced by several countries, we will be able to make a more comfortable decision. A number of countries around the world have urgently registered vaccines and started injecting them in their countries. We are also following the registration process. Various laboratories in Turkey are conducting research on the safety of vaccines. These studies should be performed on the entire series of vaccines. That is, for each batch, they must be allowed to be used after testing. The results of the analysis are very important for us. The Center for Analytical Expertise of the Ministry of Health has enough opportunities for this. Various agencies are working in this direction."
