WHO provides technical support to development of international vaccine plan in Azerbaijan

“An issue regarding new vaccines is still very new. The WHO closely follows issue of the vaccines. The WHO will reveal its recommendations on gathering and use of vaccines soon,” said Representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Azerbaijan Hande Harmanci at the media briefing on results of the Health Needs Assessment Mission of the WHO, APA reports.

According to her, the WHO is satisfied with issues regarding vaccines so far: “Results until now are very positive. We think the vaccine, to be brought to Azerbaijan, will be useful. But the WHO will release a more specific statement. Currently, Azerbaijan prepares a plan of the international vaccine. We also provide technical support. One of our experts will come to Azerbaijan soon and provide support on the issue. It will be possible to reveal which vaccine to be purchased, in which amount it will be bought, how it will be used, after development of the plans.”
