WHO: Currently, no need to increase the number of special hospitals in Azerbaijan

“There is no need to increase the number of special hospitals because of the number of people infected with coronavirus is 11,” Head of the WHO Azerbaijan Representative Office Hande Harmanci said at the press conference, APA reports.

She said that the situation regarding coronavirus in the country is fully investigated by WHO: “So far, the infected ones are people coming from foreign countries. If the infection can not be prevented at the border, the infection case becomes high in the country, then the spread of the disease will exit the first stage.”

H. Harmanci stated that if the spread of the disease enters the second stage, if the hospitals are not enough then the government will consider about allocate additional beds and do other preventive measures.”

“Currently there is no need for numerous beds,” she added.
