WHO: Our support for the Azerbaijani government on tests not so much, government itself purchases more tests

"The number of people contracted with the coronavirus has exceeded 1 million. The number of people infected with the virus was expected to increase, as the infection is growing rapidly. I think the virus may be more contagious than we thought," representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Azerbaijan Dr. Hande Harmanci told APA TV.
According to her, many countries around the world are trying to reduce the rate of spread of the virus by applying quarantine regimes: "It is necessary to follow the rules, recommendations and be careful."
Harmanchi also said that the World Health Organization supported the Azerbaijani government with diagnostic tests in the early stages of the disease.
"At that time it was harder to get a test, now it's a little easier. Governments can now purchase tests themselves. Our support for the Azerbaijani government in terms of diagnostic tests is not so much. The government itself purchases more tests," she said.
