The stigma and discrimination against some persons are being observed after emergence of coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic, says the message disseminated by the representation of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Azerbaijan, APA reports.
"The stigma can make a person conceal his disease in order not to be exposed to discrimination, abstain from calling medical aid service immediately and distract him from complying with hygiene rules. When talking about coronavirus, we should be more careful and should avoid racial discrimination”, the message notes.
