WHO: Situation regarding coronavirus in Azerbaijan stabilized over the past two weeks

"The outbreak of the coronavirus in Azerbaijan started from May, and the situation has stabilized over the past two weeks,” said David Novillo Ortiz, Head of the World Health Organization Mission on a visit to Azerbaijan, APA reports.

According to him, coronavirus cases decreased by 27 % over the last 2 weeks:  “During our visit, we held nearly 50 meetings with the leadership of Task Force of Azerbaijan, government officials, health workers. The goal of our visit was to analyze the current. Thank you for the information provided to us by the relevant persons. During the mission, we saw that sufficient financial and human resources were allocated to fight the pandemic. All ministries and agencies communicate their activities. WHO will continue to provide technical support."
