"China has shared the genetic sequence of the new coronavirus on January 12, and this information was posted on the WHO official website. Some laboratories use this information to create a necessary component of the diagnostic test," the Representation of the World Health Organization in Azerbaijan started in response to APA’s query.
The report says for distribution to countries of the WHO’s RT-PCR tests an agreement has been signed with a laboratory.
The distribution of the tests will be implemented soon depending on the countries’ needs: "If the countries procure independently the diagnostic tests, then the WHO recommends checking their quality before using them. Currently, the World Health Organization cooperates with the Azerbaijani government in regard to the acquisition of the set of diagnostic tools".
