Weekend curfew in Baku, Sumgayit, Ganja, Lankaran and Absheron ended

A strict quarantine regime imposed in Baku, Sumgayit, Ganja, Lankaran and Absheron regions from 00:00 on June 6 to 06:00 on June 8 has ended, APA reports.

According to the decision of the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers, a special quarantine regime was established in Baku, Sumgayit, Ganja, Lankaran and Absheron regions to reduce the spread of new coronavirus (COVID-19) infection and minimize its complications. Some restrictions were imposed from 00:00 on June 6, 2020 to 06:00 on June 8, 2020.

The population was prohibited to leave their place of residence or temporary stay in Baku, Sumgayit, Ganja, Lankaran cities and the Absheron region at the indicated time except for those working in areas where their activities were allowed.

The movement of all other vehicles and public transport, except for special purpose, emergency recovery, ambulance and service vehicles belonging to authorized bodies (institutions) and organizations, was prohibited.

Markets, shopping malls and pharmacies also did not operate on weekends.

Individuals, legal entities and officials were held administratively and criminally liable for violating the requirements of the decision.
