Baku Traffic Police appeals drivers on severely worsening weather condition

Main State Traffic Police Department has appealed drivers in connection with severely worsening weather condition, the Department told APA.
According to the information of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, weather is expected to change severely in the country since today.
“In order to prevent possible traffic accidents and other unfavorable cases in connection with the weather condition, Main State Traffic Police Department addresses drivers and states them to be more attentive while driving, choose speed limit relevant to weather condition, avoid from sudden breaking, overtaking and other maneuvers, if there is not any necessity, and not to forget to be careful while passing through pools in rainy weathers.”
Taking into account possibility of freezing roads in some mountainous areas of Azerbaijan, people with less experience of driving are asked not to drive in such weather condition.
“Pedestrians also should follow security measures more seriously in traffic, taking into account severe changes in weather condition. We would advice pedestrians to prefer colorful clothes during nights and pass through highways without posing threats for both themselves and other movement participants”, reads the address.
