Experts of Azerbaijan’s Emergencies Ministry Head Projecting Institute reviewed five-storey building in Lenkeran and came to the conclusion that it is dangerous for living, department chief of the institute Khurrem Khanmirzayev told the APA’s south bureau. The building commissioned in 1989 underwent erosion and there are a lot of cracks on it. He said that it is dangerous to live in this building and it would be expedient to knock it down.
The residents of the building were evacuated on March 1, but as related bodies did not help them, some had to return to their flats. The residents were completely evacuated through intervention of local authorities and law-enforcement bodies. The majority of them settled in their relatives’ houses.
Lenkeran Executive Office told the APA south bureau that new building will be built for these residents. /APA/
