ANAMA: Azerbaijan's Ashagi Seyidahmadli village included in category of area most contaminated by mines

Ashagi Seyidahmadli village of Fuzuli district of Azerbaijan is included in the category of the area most contaminated by mines, said the Head of the Cleaning and Research Department of the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) Idris Ismayilov at the first international conference on "Forensic Archaeology and Forensic Anthropology: Humanitarian Application", APA reports.

He stressed that the agency carried out demining activities in that area for more than 1 month.

"121 mines were detected and neutralized in an area of approximately 1.4 hectares. 85 of them are anti-tank mines, and 36 are anti-personnel. In order to ensure the safety of future excavation works, the agency will continue to clear the relevant areas from mines," Idris Ismayilov stressed.
