In 2022, 39 people who organized an illegal migration channel to go to European and American countries were detained, APA reports citing Annual report of National Coordinator on Combating Trafficking in Human Beings which discussed at the meeting at Azerbaijani Parliament (Milli Majlis).
It was noted that 39 people were detained who organized an illegal migration channel to go to European and American countries using the territories of Azerbaijan, Türkiyeand Iran. As the signs of human trafficking were not found in the actions of those persons through the conducted investigations, they were administratively removed from the country.
