"As 20% of Azerbaijani territories were under occupation during about 30 years, conduction of any phytosanitary control measure in those areas was not possible," chairman of the Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (FSA) Goshgar Tahmazli said at the event on "Plant Health Innovations for Food Safety," APA reports.
"In the future, it is planned to create zones free of harmful organisms in these areas. In addition, taking into account the reforms, modern challenges, a new draft law "On Plant health" is being developed with the participation of international experts.
