Azerbaijan to simplify visa procedures for tourists

Measures will be taken to simplify visa procedures to improve travel conditions for tourists, it was reflected in the "Socio-economic development strategy for 2022-2026 of the Republic of Azerbaijan" approved by the order of President Ilham Aliyev, APA reports.APA reports.

Noted in the document that the main executor of the plan is the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the relevant institutions are the State Tourism Agency, the State Agency for Citizens' Service and Social Innovation.

Compared to 2019, it is considered to increase the number of tourists, coming from new countries on the border where visa regime or visa-free regime are applied, by 7,5% every year.
