Azerbaijan will fine those who evade registration of a mobile device, up to AZN 12,000

Azerbaijan defines new fines for changing or transferring a copy of the IMEI number of mobile devices, APA reports.

According to the draft law, for changing or transferring a copy of the IMEI number of a mobile device in order to avoid the registration of a mobile device, physical persons will be fined from AZN300 to AZN 400, officials from AZN 1000 to 1500, and legal entities from AZN 3 thousand to 4 thousand.

Individuals will be fined from AZN 600 to AZN 800, officials from AZN 2,000 to AZN 2,500, and legal entities from AZN 9,000 to AZN 12,000 for the repeated commission of the mentioned error by the person who received administrative punishment within 1 year from the date of entry into force of the decision on administrative punishment.
