This event which takes place within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States, will give a new impetus to the useful cooperation between the relevant state agencies on emergency management of member and observer states of the organization, said the Minister of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan Colonel-General Kamaladdin Heydarov at the 2nd meeting of the Ministers on Disaster and Emergency Management of member and observer states of the Organization of Turkic States, APA reports.
He said that thanks to the wise foresight and political will of the leaders of the Turkic states, comprehensive relations between the Turkic states have expanded rapidly year by year.
Kamaladdin Heydarov expressed confidence that the "Agreement on the establishment of the Civil Defense Mechanism of the Organization of Turkic States", which will be discussed within the framework of the 2nd meeting of the Ministers on Disaster and Emergency Management of member and observer states of the Organization of Turkic States, will make an important contribution to the further expansion of relations between the organizations.
The minister also touched upon the demining activities carried out by the forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the territories of Azerbaijan liberated from occupation.
