Azerbaijani Minister of Emergency Situations (MES) colonel-general Kamaladdin Haydarov met with extraordinary and plenipotentiary Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Azerbaijan Mohammed AlBlooshi, MES told APA.
K.Haydarov who warmly greeted the guest reminded that the relations between Azerbaijan and UAE develop in ascending line. In this framework, noting the great opportunities for further expansion of cooperative relations in emergency situations between relevant structures of the two countries, Azerbaijani Minister stressed that mutual visits and meetings of various levels give a useful impetus to the development of relations.
Later K.Haydarov gave detailed information to the ambassador about the activity of MES and works done on emergency management, highlighting the significance of holding joint exercises and seminars between corresponding structures of the two countries for the exchange of experience.
Also, educational opportunities for the employees of the emergency management agencies of the United Arab Emirates at the Academy of Azerbaijani MES were noted.
Ambassador Mahammad AlBlooshi gave his thanks for the friendly meeting and stressed the importance of the further expansion of the relations between the relevant structures in the area of management of emergency situations in the framework of the existing high-level cooperation relations between both countries.
He highlighted the importance of conducting mutual visits at the level of leaders and experts in this direction.
At the meeting, a wide range of opinions was exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.
