“Reconstruction works are currently underway in quake-hit areas of Türkiye. Large tent and container cities are being built in the area," said said Deputy Minister of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES), lieutenant-general Etibar Mirzayev, APA reports.
The deputy minister also stressed that the earthquake affected about 14 million people in 11 provinces of Türkiye which means 110,000 square kilometers: "When we were in those cities, there were earthquakes every day, and they continue even now. Buildings in the area are categorized as completely destroyed, moderately damaged, lightly damaged, or not damaged at all. But despite all this, living in those buildings is completely prohibited in the earthquake region".
