Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis holds first written civil service recruitment examination

A contest to fill the Civil Service lawyer vacancies within the Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis Staff was announced in the Parliament for the first time on the initiative of Speaker of Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova on 4 February this year, APA reports.

That was a move made in continuation of the reforms that are apace in all the areas of life in the country under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.

The contest consists of two stages – a written exam and an interview.

The written exam being the first leg of the contest was sat at the Milli Majlis Offices on 29 April. Before it, Chief of the Milli Majlis Staff Farid Hajiyev greeted the contestants and wished them success, speaking on behalf of the Chair of the Milli Majlis. As many as 364 candidates who have university degrees in law and had submitted their documents in accordance with the established procedure by 3 March of the current year sat the written exam in 3 groups.

The purpose of the written exam is to test the theoretical knowledge of the applicants and their familiarity with the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The exam results and information about the next leg of the selection contest will be communicated at a later date.
