Azerbaijan's Minister of Health: "There is no need for closures yet, situation is under control"

"There is no need for closure at present, the situation is under control. Course of infections will show what steps need to be taken," the minister of health Teymur Musayev told journalists, APA reports.

He noted that, at the initial stage, the Omicron has been found in 12 people, currently, tests are underway: "When to look at the experience of the other countries, 40 % of the total infections are those infected with Omicron. the Omicron strain of coronavirus is already widespread in Azerbaijan: "Rather than other strains, it is more contagious. Figures regarding this are being increased. That is why, everyone should follow the mask regime, social distance".
