The Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Sabina Aliyeva called on the world community and international organizations regarding the fact that civilians were killed as a result of the mine explosion in Tartar district, the Office of the Ombudsman told APA.

On the appeal, information was given about the mine terrorism carried out by Armenia at the state-level:

"Mine terrorism and policy of hatred carried out by Armenia at state-level against Azerbaijanis are causing the killing of innocent people.

The fact that the world community and relevant international organizations do not exert a serious influence on Armenia regarding the mine terrorism has recently led to the intensive nature of such provocation-oriented actions contrary to international humanitarian law in the region.

In this regard, I once again appeal to the world community to support the presentation of accurate maps of mined areas to Azerbaijan in order to eliminate mine terrorism, which is a source of serious danger to people's lives and health, and to take effective measures against Armenia, which continues to violate the requirements of international humanitarian law".
