China's National Health Commission registered 23,276 coronavirus-positive patients on November 16, with the figure rising from the recorded tally the day before, APA reports.
The country's capital, Beijing, detected 172 symptomatic and 262 asymptomatic cases, while Guangzhou and Zhengzhou reported 275 and 136 new symptomatic cases. Guangdong saw the highest increase in COVID-19-positive cases, registering 1,246 symptomatic and 8,576 asymptomatic patients, according to the local government.
Previously, Shanghai Disney Resort announced it would remain closed due to COVID-19 restrictions in China as the number of pandemic-related cases continued to rally across the country.
