COVID passports to be valid for 6 months from February 15 of next year

"There is no decision on application of restrictions, which are applied in other countries, in Azerbaijan," said Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of the Department of Economic Affairs and Innovative Development Policy of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan Shahmar Movsumov at the briefing of the task Force under the cabinet of Ministers, APA reports.

Assistant to President noted that vaccination is successfully conducted in Azerbaijan: "Infection cases decrease over the recent months. But the appearance of the problems, existing in other countries, in Azerbaijan is also possible. The only way of keeping the situation under control is vaccination. The vaccine has enough protective power after two doses. But according to the researches, the immune weakens after four months of the second dose, and receive of a booster dose is seriously recommended. The process is underway in Azerbaijan too. A limit is set on duration of COVID passports, which are now used, in order to apply a more protective and attentive approach. Duration of COVID passports is determined 6 months after February 15. COVID passport will be invalid after six months of the second dose. Entry into some places will be impossible with an expired COVID passport."
