A new era started in the Caucasus with the Karabakh Victory, said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, APA reports.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that this Victory Epic has removed the obstacles to lasting peace and comprehensive normalization in our common geography: “We believe that this historic opportunity should not be missed. We are pleased with the steps taken by Azerbaijan and Armenia to resolve the issues between them. As Turkey, we support the efforts of the parties to resolve border issues, draft a peace agreement and open transport corridors. The success of these efforts is for the benefit of all of us, the whole region. It is especially gratifying that the first meeting of the Border Commission will be held on May 24 and progress has been made on the Zangazur corridor. We also sincerely continue the process of normalization of relations with Armenia. We will continue to increase our solidarity with Azerbaijan for the security and prosperity of the region. "
