Farid Shafiyev, chairman of the Center for International Relations Analysis has commented on Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's speech and allegations regarding Azerbaijan at the UN General Assembly, Center told APA.

The commentary reads:

"The below-mentioned facts prove that Armenia has not given up its policy of aggression against Azerbaijan and is making groundless claims against our country:

1. Armenia occupied the territories of Azerbaijan in 1993-2020, and this fact was once again confirmed by the European Court of Human Rights in 2015.

2. This country still keeps 7 villages of Gazakh region of Azerbaijan under control.

3. There is a clause in the Constitution of Armenia that refers to the decision of the parliament of this country dated December 1, 1989, on the annexation of Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia.

4. This country has not yet recognized Karabakh as the territory of Azerbaijan.

5. The Armenian side admitted until recently that its troops are still located in the territory of Azerbaijan, more precisely in the Karabakh region.

6. In Armenia, the cultural heritage belonging to Azerbaijan was erased from the earth, and in Karabakh it was massively destroyed.

Thus, we observe a scene that is the exact opposite of N. Pashinyan's accusations. N. Pashinyan's accusations against Azerbaijan will not bring peace and stability to the region. Now let the international experts tell me which side has used power diplomacy more.

There is no alternative but to stop unnecessary propaganda, complain to American and European politicians, and discuss differences based on mutual respect. The countries of the region - Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Georgia - should have a say in the region. This is the only way of solution."
