The first lunar eclipse of the year took place today, Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory told APA.

This was a full lunar eclipse.

The eclipse started at 07:29 and ended at 08:53. The maximum eclipse was recorded at 08:11.

It will be visible in North and South America, Europe, Africa, and parts of Asia.
