"Our women in Iran have been oppressed for a long time," said an activist for human rights and ethnic issues and co-founder of the Ark Human Rights Protection Committee, Jala Tabrizli, at the event "Lake Urmu’s wail, APA reports.

He noted that the Islamic regime in Iran does not recognize women's rights:

"Head covering is mandatory. Turkish women are specially oppressed. They are exposed to racial discrimination since they are both women and Turks. Besides, our children cannot study in their native language. Every child is happy when they go to school, but our children cry. Because they do not know the language of the teacher, for this reason, many remain illiterate.”
